Important Notes

Mandatory Sessions

These are mandatory for all international graduate students. Please make sure attend these events:

  1. Immigration Basics: Please register for one Immigration Basics on your International Admission Portal. 
  2. International Students Orientation | Friday, May 26 and Friday, June 30, 2023
  3. In addition, we invite you to join us for International Student Orientation for the Fall Semester.

Immigration Basics

Registration is strictly required. You can schedule your Immigration Basics session on your International Admission Portal. You MUST attend one session of Immigration Basics otherwise you cannot register for classes. Immigration Basics is mandatory for all international students on F1 and J1 status. You will need to upload a copy of your passport, visa, I-20/DS2019 and I-94. After each Immigration Basics session, our mentors will escort you to the Health Center for you to take the TB test & MMR immunizations. Afterward, you will be escorted to other offices on campus to complete necessary tasks. Please have your schedule free after the Immigration Basics session.

Noon Lunch at the Fulbright Dining Hall with International Students and Scholars staff and Cross Cultural Mentors Meet at Holcombe Hall Living Room
1:00 PM Obtain ID card
Questions regarding cell phones, housing, bank accounts, etc.
