International Culture Team

The International Culture Team (ICT) is a dynamic team of international students, scholars, and their spouses, as well as, American students who have studied abroad and are eager to share about their culture or a culture they have lived in, through cultural presentations, demonstrations, cooking, displays, clothing, and performances.  ICT’s goals are to bring the world to our campus and community; break stereotypes; put not well known countries on the map; and develop a community that seeks to learn from each other.  American students who have not studied abroad, but want to make international friends are greatly welcomed on the team as well. Team activities can be found at ictevents.uark.edu and to request a presentation fill out the ICT Request Form.

Who We Are

ICT is a very special team of educators. Our team is comprised of about 100 presenters representing about 35 countries each year.  This team offers global education to the University of Arkansas campus, schools at all grade levels, businesses and community organizations throughout Northwest Arkansas.  ICT members provided cultural presentations and performances for around 6,000 children and adults on campus and in our community annually.

Presenting for ICT is an excellent means of improving public speaking and communication skills in preparation for professional careers. It is also a wonderful way to learn about and interact with persons in the local community, while providing a valuable service for the state.  And finally, it is a great way for international students, scholars, and spouses to meet and work with other international and American members while being a part of a highly effective and visible team.
